but never accept someone else to tell you how to shoot, how to create your image, never let someone to rape your mind and your creativity.
Then as we all did, mostly at the beginning, collaborations with magazines are fantastic occasions to show your talent. They pay little money, but we all know it and we all accepted it.
But at the end if we go on location and we have some kind of art director telling us how to shoot or how to use the light or whatelse… that’s not ok.
Always, always refuse someone who’s telling you how to take pictures.
Photography is a form of art and as any other art we must be free to express our creativity.
Of course we can have a concept suggested about a story or we can even have an advertising agency giving us a layout to follow, but NO1 ever get the right to tell you HOW to do it.
Because when you get there and you accept someone to tell you how to shoot you are accepting compromises and that’s far away from the real art.
