I believe every photographer should always take care of the editing process… No matter what.
You can be shooting on location every single day but you should always follow the editing of your shootings.
Otherwise, let me tell you… it’s gonne be a huge mess.
Well let me explain. Of course there are some amazing pros out there that can edit your images at the best, and you can let them do the job ( a part of it ) if you really can’t find the time, as I do when I’m traveling a lot…
But I must be and I pretend to be the starting point and the only one giving specific instructions about my images… and I always want the final touch.
It’s not a matter of trust. When we shoot we know what we see and we have in mind what we’d like to see coming out from that shot. Editing is part of the shooting. If we skip this step and we let someone else to do it for us, we separate our point of view from our creativity and that’s never a good solution.
