I’m right there… where I always wanted to be
we start with an idea, then a sketch and a final preview. how cool is that???
after so many years traveling after watching so many sunrises… this is something that is still enchanting me. again and again
taking a pic of my daughter while she’s taking pics of her horses…
No matter what… Always be prepared in this life to have a choice. Call it plan A and plan B or whatever but make sure anytime you can switch between one and another. And make sure the Plan B is worth exactly like the Plan A.
I’ve never been good to be consistent in my life. That made my life exciting day by day. Every time I woke up in the last 40 years I had something in my head pushing me forward. Photography and all about its artistic meaning took my life like a passion that soon became my obsession. Sometimes I look back and I see all the changes I made in my life, so many times I decided to change the road… I’ve never been good with people telling me how to take pictures or how to develop photography. That means cutting any chance to work with magazines, art directors and so on. That means developing some kind of obsession that during the journey becomes part of yourself. And at my age, today, I only shoot what I really like and when I really want. So, this was just the right time to make that change.

to the young generations asking me how did I choose to be a photographer?
What’s the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning? What’s the last one when you go to sleep? Well, I made my life out of it. I made up my career. And let me tell you I’m still like that after sooooo many years. BUT… there’s always a But…
What I left behind is not making me any proud: family, relationships, friends… you are never prepared to leave the people you love behind and when you realize that it’s too late, you are gone too far and there’s no way you can bring the time back.
That said, when you make this choice always make sure you are ready to accept all the circumstances and the consequences.
Please, don’t take it the wrong way. I don’t really give a f..k about social networks, about comments or even likes. I’m from another time guys. The time we used to shoot films in Miami Beach to send in NYC within the same day while drinking a beer in front of the ocean. That was the way I learned to share photography and that is the only way I know. I did it with Lindbergh, Avedon and Ritts because I was in my 20s and it was just a privilege to be there with those icons. So, if we talk about likes or comments on social media, you can really get how I care less than nothing. That is not real life to my eyes.
I love to keep it this way, even if my agent ask me to be on social media, and I understand the reason why everybody love it. I don’t. I understand to share something, sometimes, but not waiting for someone else to tell me good or bad. Because as I always say, creativity has nothing to do with good or bad, with right or wrong. Thank you

There was a time when blogging was a daily process to better connect with the audience. Then the social era entered in our lives and everybody must be more immediate and fast compared to what was in the past. Well, so many of you keep asking about new post on my website like I used to do in the last 25 years, but really it takes time, that I don’t have anymore.
I mean, I will post again, not on a daily basic, but I will, as I always did. With the social media I tried to be like any other and post regularly, but I can’t do it. That’s why my agent is hiring a girl that will take care of all the social media platforms.
I know, I’m old and when I’m off, I wanna spend my time doing what I love enjoying the time with my daughter and not posting on social media. I feel like I don’t really need it in my life even if I respect and I understand the people which are making a living out of it. It’s just the time passing by and every era has its own scenario.
Well, I keep living in the one I know better and I love even if it’s considered the old one. I will post one social media together with the new social media manager but she will take care of any other aspect about that. Thanks
The Time Traveler is a work in progress. I can’t publish any details or they are going to kill me. But we are trying to do a good job and yes, we had to put it off the release date. If only we can find a way to sleep a little more in these days… 😊

I’d like to reply to the people sending message about the fact that I’m not posting like I used to do in the past on this website. You are right! There was a time I was posting more and more… but then I changed the manager and the agent while the social networks started to rule the game. But you are right, even with my Italian-english many of you just came back to check the new posts every single day, and I’m not that interesting at all. But you are right because it was a place where I had a chance to share without the pressure that this new digital world can put on the table using the social networks.
Well, one more time, you are right and I’m going to publish more posts on this website.
