we all have our own point of view. We should EAT every single day new pictures from galleries, exhibitions, books and so on and we can use all of them to get inspired. Please note, I said inspired not planning a copy and paste. There’s nothing wrong to get inspire from others, it’s totally wrong to copy and paste. Some dudes out there are trying even to biuld a career around the copy and paste religion and that’s so sad.
We should need to create because we feel we need as we need to breath. If we believe we must do it for money, that’s the moment to leave.
If we can manipulate our own inspiration for the money we are creatively sick and the side of our brain taking care of our inspiration must be death.
And that’s the point. I still see people coming on location with magazines, examples and printed pages from the web to suggest what we could do that day on location.
What the f..k? Where the hell yoru isnpiration and your creativity are gone.
If you need to bring an issue of Vogue magazine to tell me how to do hair or make up, I know for sure creatively talking I will get nothing from you.
I want your creativity, your inspiration, not a copy and paste because Vogue did it.
And I’ve lived this situation at least 100 times in the last 25 years doing this job.
I call them flat brains colony and they are a lot in this business. Maybe one day I can ask them to wear a pink bracelet just to know who’s meeting you so you don’t really need to waste any time.
