I mean, today we use a lot the web and the digital portfolios.
Same story for the models, of course there’s a huge selection at the beginning just watching their photos online.
Then there’s the casting. I used to be at the castings in the past, but today we have our own casting manager because I just couldn’t really be at any casting (a matter of time).
So, when I meet the model on location, even if I’ve seen her before it’s a good habit to be still interested in watching her book. Printed would be amazing, digital could do a good job as well.
It’s a very important side of my job, I need to see the “options” someone used in the previous jobs with the same model, make up, hair style and even styling. It helps a lot… and I still love it.
