I hate haters. Jelous people talking bad about some other people really irritates me a lot. But we all need haters.
Ignorance has no limit, this is what I learned in my last 25 years around the globe.
Mostly in this business where everyone is jelous of everyone else.
I’m the one thinking that whatever we have in our pofessional life is what we deserved and we fight for.
I had such a great journey, by the times, in the 90s, that I was working in Milan with Moda magazine where the art director asked the male models to take their underwear off to shoot ski clothes in the snow… (Moda magazine closed a few years later).
Till the time I was in LA and some other photographers called me the “just a web photographer” while I was shooting 3 sets a day and they were drinking coffees all day in their empty studios because their printed mags had no budget anymore for nothing.
To the days that Jed Root contacted me to represent my job and when I said no they replied
“How can you say no to the best agency around? You’re not going to shoot any other picture in the whole world…” Well, jed root closed a couple of years later hiding a lot of money and a lot of contributors are still waiting to get paid.
Today I’m still here, maybe tomorrow I’ll stop but I know for sure that the day I will stop to take pictures as a profession it will be because of my own decision, not because of some likes or dislikes.
And let me tell you, we all need supporters to make a good job, but we mostly need haters to make a great one.
Since when I was a kid the bad people judging me for everything helped me to push myself over the limits, to demonstrate myself I was not the person they were saying.
And it worked, every sngle time.
Thanks everyone for coming back on this web site, you are so many.
And never give up, whatever you are doing, live your dreams and because these are your dreams never let someone else to rule your life.
have a stunning day
